This milestone the UI Strike Team got a chance to work on something we’ve wanted to fix for a while. It’s probably something you’ve run in to countless times too: you’ve got a load of cargo to move and you have to do it piece-by-piece.

Clearly, this is a time-consuming and annoyingly repetitive task. It would be easier if you could select more than one item at once, right? We talked a lot about enabling typical ctrl+click multiple selection, but we decided in the end to give you a more powerful tool for managing your cargo.

From any of your inventory locations (including warehouses and ships), you can click the new cargo manager button to bring up a condensed list of that inventory. Then, you can quickly select all or some of the inventory items you want to move, pick a destination and poof! You’re done. No more endless clicking and dragging individual stacks of items. You can move cargo between any of the ships in your current port and can also mass-delete items this way. It should make juggling your various inventories much easier.

Here’s a preview of what the Cargo Manager looks like:

(Sneak preview: Very soon you’ll be able to toggle all of your inventory views to have a list view similar to the cargo manager!)

But that’s not all! We also finally hooked up the various bits of code that let you see when you have a mission that is ready to be turned in. As you get to the final stage of a mission, it will get checked-off your list, like this:

We spent the rest of our milestone fixing bugs and doing exciting future work that I can’t tell you about just yet, much as I want to. Stay tuned!

P.S. Check your launcher for a link to the latest feedback survey! We want to hear from you!
