In case you weren’t aware, September 19th is International Talk Like a Pirate Day (TLAPD). And since we here at Flying Lab Software are deeply celebratory folk, we’ve decided to celebrate TLAPD with you!

What is Talk Like a Pirate Day, you ask. Well first and foremost you are required to change your dialect to that of a pirate for the entire day. For instance, in standard American English you might say, “Would you like some pie, good sir?” But in Pirate English you would say, “Eat some pie, ye scurvy dog, ‘fore I be cuttin’ yer throat wi’ me hook.” Get the point? If not check out the official Talk Like a Pirate Day website for some pointers on how to take part.

Besides just talking like a pirate, TLAPD is about celebrating (legally) all things pirate. Don your pirate outfit, fill your cup with grog, and jump on your computer to enjoy our TLAPD themed missions and other excitement we’ve got planned for September 19th. To get started, head to Tortuga or Marsh Harbour and seek out a feathered gentleman who goes by the name of Captain Billings.

Also on September 19th, check out WowHead to see their PotBS themed website. While you wait, you can also take part in the ZAM Pirates of the Burning Sea Treasure Hunt, which ends on the 25th!
