Migration Process Update

There’s a lot of concern about the migration process, so I wanted to post here and let everyone know what the plan is and what they can expect from the migration process.
Towards the end of this week the migration process will go live. We’ll make an announcement about this both at www.burningsea.com and portalusgames.com. People who have signed up for the newsletter will get an email letting them know that the migration process is ready.
What is migration?
Basically we need to verify that your Station account belongs to you by having you log in on the website or by logging into the game. This will let you log into the game through Portalus instead of Sony in the future.
What will the migration process be like?
There will be a migration link on our website. When you go to that page you’ll be asked to log into your Sony account (if you aren’t logged in already). This verifies that the account you are migrating belongs to you. Once you’ve logged in, you’ll be asked to create an account name and password for your new PotBS account. You’ll also be given the opportunity to change your forum name. All your characters, items, Burning Sea Notes, Burning Sea Points, societies, etc (everything you had on your Station account), will now be associated with your Portalus Games account.
If for some reason there is a problem logging into the website, we can verify that your account belongs to you by having you log into the game. When you log in you will be given a migration code (you can also put in an email address to have the code sent to). You can then use this migration code to transfer your characters to your new PotBS Games account.
What if I have multiple accounts?
You will need to create a new PotBS account for each Sony account you want to migrate.
